Do you think that a nurse in Cornwall is worth less than a nurse in the South East of England?
No, neither do I. That's why I stood up to and blocked the Conservatives when they tried to introduce 'Regional Pay' that would have meant less money for teachers, nurses and other hardworking people in Cornwall.
There is simply no way that workers in Cornwall are worth less than workers in elsewhere in the country. I know that Cornish people work their socks off every day to deliver top class public services to local people. Yet the Conservatives would like to pay them less simply because the don't live in the South East of England.
We the undersigned say no to Conservative plans to introduce 'Regional Pay' for Cornwall's nurses, teachers and other public sector workers. Local workers have the same qualifications and work just as hard as those elsewhere. They should be paid the same.
