Launceston's MP Dan Rogerson has said that the ongoing problems which have left premises in the town without telephone or internet access for days need to be resolved as a matter of urgency.
Mr Rogerson has been contacted by many local residents and business owners who have been affected by the problems, some of whom have been left without a service for several days.
Dan said, “I am continuing to press BT for an urgent resolution to this problem. It is totally unacceptable that people have been left without vital telephone and internet services for so long.
“Vulnerable residents who rely on a lifeline telephone alarm need access to this critical service. In addition, I am concerned that businesses have been hit particularly hard, with many unable to process card payments or online orders during the busy Christmas period, including during the recent late night shopping evening.”
