Dan is delighted to have been re-selected by Liberal Democrat members from across North Cornwall to represent them as their candidate in the upcoming 2015 General Election.
Commenting on his re-selection, Dan said "Im delighted local Lib Dem members in North Cornwall have put their faith in me by selecting me as their parliamentary candidate for the third time. Over the past nine years, I have worked to deliver a £800-a-year tax cut for low and average earners, fairer funding for our schools, a £50-a-year water refund as well as funding for the improvements of the A30 at Temple".
However, Dan feels there is still more he can achieve as MP. He wants to continue the fight for more affordable housing for local people, help create more local jobs and apprenticeships for the local area and to cut tax on petrol in Rural North Cornwall.
In the General Election of 2010, Dan won the North Cornwall constituency with 48.1% of the vote, with the Conservatives coming behind on 41.7%. UKIP came third with 4.9% pushing Labour in to fourth on 4.2%. Mebyon Kernow were fifth with 1.1% of the vote.
