Comment on Environment Agency tackling diffuse water pollution

Commenting on the NAO’s report, Tackling Diffuse Water Pollution in England, Liberal Democrat MP for North Cornwall, and member of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee in the last Parliament, Dan Rogerson, said:

“Vigilance in tackling this problem is admirable but what’s clear is that the approach the last Government pursued neither engaged farmers nor helped them reduce pollution.

“Yet again Labour stuck blindly to a target which was unachievable, spending a disproportionate amount of money for scant environmental gain.”
