Bude apprenticeships ‘A Model’ – Rogerson

Dan Rogerson MP (l) with Chris Ingram, Managing Director of Continental Underfloor Heating (r)
North Cornwall’s MP, Dan Rogerson, has commended Bude firm Continental Underfloor Heating for its apprenticeship schemes.

Mr Rogerson visited the company’s headquarters on Kings Hill last week, to meet Chris Ingram, their Managing Director.  The firm installs heating systems that warm homes from the floor up, rather than filling the ceiling space first.  They are advertising trainee positions as Technical Sales Advisers.

The systems are economical, using lower temperature water than radiators, and consuming less fuel in the process.

Commenting after his visit, Mr Rogerson said:

“It’s great to see a thriving local company taking its responsibilities to North Cornwall so seriously.

“Their apprenticeship schemes are a real model, providing high quality training for people seeking employment and expertise in this industry.

“The Trainee Technical Sales Adviser positions involve three months of instruction both in the company’s products and in the art of selling.

“Not only does the company offer high quality jobs, but the heating systems people are training to sell are economical to run and very efficient at heating the homes in which they’re installed.

“Continental have traded well through these tough times, and I wish them all the best with their expansion in future.”

Chris Ingram, Managing Director of Continental Underfloor Heating added:

“Our business is based on the knowledge we give our customers and our ability to provide accurate information. Our investment in these apprenticeships is critical for us maintaining our position as the UK’s largest direct supply underfloor heating company, and further confirms our commitment to proper jobs in Cornwall.”
