MP calls for fair deal for Cornish rail passengers

North Cornwall’s MP, Dan Rogerson, has called on the Government and CrossCountry trains to treat rail passengers in Cornwall fairly by matching the catering services provided on the rest of the route. The current franchise agreement with CrossCountry trains, which runs trains from Penzance to Aberdeen, means that no catering facilities have to be provided on trains between Penzance and Plymouth. ‘Unholy alliance’ keeps Cornish out of census

Labour and Conservative MPs united to keep ‘Cornish’ off the 2011 census last night, as the Government voted down a proposal from North Cornwall’s MP, Dan Rogerson, to have it included.
