Bodmin fire: Comment from Dan Rogerson MP

Responding to news that three teenagers have been arrested in connection with the Bodmin fire which killed Mary Fox, local MP Dan Rogerson said:

“I know the thoughts of the whole community will be with Mary Fox’s family.

“Doubtless everyone in the area will be shaken by what has happened.

“People have shown their support for the police and fire service in their inquiries.  Any small bit of evidence could be crucial, so I encourage everybody to help as much as they can.

“Meanwhile, I am extremely disappointed at the way some national papers have implied that Bodmin is a dangerous place.

“I live in Bodmin and know it to be a good neighbourly community. I want to thank local people for the way they’ve pulled together at this difficult time.
