MP opens cycle shop in Launceston
Local MP, Dan Rogerson has opened LauncestonCycles’ new premises on the High Street. The business has moved to a larger, more central unit after trading for 18 months on Angel Hill.
Local traders have congratulated Nigel and Lisa Drew on the move. “It’s fantastic news that LauncestonCycles are moving into larger premises in a key location within the town centre. It enhances the variety of quality shops that Launceston has to offer and we wish Nigel & Lisa all the best” say Mike & Rebecca, Bek Design. “LauncestonCycles offers a quality one stop shop service provider for all, from first time riders to the serious, at the same time adding another piece of armoury to the Launceston town centre shopping facility,” added Launceston Sports and Therapy Centre owner, Gary Herbert.
With cycling on the increase for many reasons such as fuel prices, health and fitness, leisure or environmental issues, LauncestonCycles has played a major role in promoting family cycling, helping with advice as well as providing a service for those who have been cycling for years. Owner Nigel says “We were delighted to have local MP, Dan Rogerson come along to open our new premises. His support for us and for other local businesses is a big boost. We are proud to be able to give help and advice to anyone who wants to take up cycling as a hobby, to get fit, as a sport or as a mode of transport, as well as help those who have been cycling for years, even in the past 18 months we have seen a fantastic increase in the number of people cycling to work as well as leisure.”
