Liberal Democrat success in North Cornwall

Commenting on the results of the local council elections which saw the Liberal Democrats secure the largest number of seats in North Cornwall, Dan Rogerson MP said:

“I am delighted that our local Liberal Democrat team won the elections here in North Cornwall. I am really grateful for the amount of time and effort that has been put in by campaigners to make sure this election was a success and to all those who turned out to vote. The strong team of Liberal Democrat Councillors will take the fight for their communities down to Truro and will stand up and be heard.

Sadly, some good candidates were unsuccessful and my thanks also to them for all their hard work; their expertise will be a loss to the new Council.

The Cornwall Council now has a political mandate from the people of Cornwall and I look forward to working with Councillors here in North Cornwall to fight for a fair deal for our region.”
