Brown must put words on broadband into action – Rogerson

Commenting on Gordon Brown’s speech to the Digital Britain Summit this morning, North Cornwall’s MP Dan Rogerson said:

“The Prime Minister is right to say universal broadband access across the country is vital to Britain’s success.

“But he must put his words into action by ensuring that even the remotest areas have access to a fast internet connection.

“Universal all too often means ‘nearly universal’ and leaves rural areas like those in North Cornwall behind.

“That will not do.  Only full 100% coverage is enough.”

Notes:  Dan Rogerson has been campaigning on behalf of constituents in rural parts of his constituency, which have no broadband access, and is seeking evidence from residents of further ‘notspots’ not covered by broadband connections.
