Thousands wait until Easter for Christmas fuel bonus

Thousands of pensioners are still waiting for the £60 Christmas bonus promised to them to help with fuel payments, research by the Liberal Democrat Team for Cornwall has revealed.  The information, released in answer to a Parliamentary Question asked by Julia Goldsworthy, shows that almost 11,000 pensioners in Cornwall will have to wait until after March to receive their so-called ‘Christmas bonuses’. MP support for solar power

Local MP Dan Rogerson has given his backing to the “We support Solar” campaign, and signed a motion championing the technology in the House of Commons. Fund for Cornish bush fire victims

County Councillors will be asked today (Tuesday) to set up a special fund to help bush fire victims in the historic Cornish miners' settlement of Bendigo and the surrounding area. MP welcomes Assembly A30 decision

The South West Regional Assembly’s decision to include the A30 Temple to Higher Carblake scheme in its list of regional transport investment priorities is a ‘victory for Cornwall’, according to local MP, Dan Rogerson. Assembly must top death and delay on A30

The South West Regional Assembly has the opportunity today (Friday) to stop a further ten years of death and delay on the A30 between Temple and Higher Carblake, according to local MP Dan Rogerson. Govermnent snatches Cornwall’s Euro millions

Almost £25 million of European funds earmarked to be spent in Cornwall has been re-allocated to the Treasury, the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Team for Cornwall has learned. The government rejected an invitation from Brussels to extend the spending deadline for unused European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) cash.
