Penhallow Fire
Responding to news that the Crown Prosecution Service will not pursue a case against those arrested in connection with the Penhallow Hotel fire, local MP, Dan Rogerson said:
“People in Cornwall are bound to feel that justice simply hasn’t been done in this case.
“Rather than test the evidence police have amassed in court, the CPS has sought to play judge and jury.
“After a complex and costly investigation, the police deserve better than to have their work junked at this stage.
“My thoughts are with the families of those who died, since today puts closure of this tragic case further from reach.”
