MP to chair rural bus service group
North Cornwall’s MP, Dan Rogerson, will chair a cross-party meeting of parliamentarians this Wednesday to discuss rural bus services.
Among the subjects for discussion will be the so-called “30 mile rule”, which prevents small bus companies running longer routes without having expensive tachometer equipment fitted to their vehicles.
Commenting in advance, Mr Rogerson said:
“We are working across party political lines to improve rural services for local people.”
