MP keeps pressure up on A30 dualling
North Cornwall’s MP, Dan Rogerson, met senior figures from the South West Regional Development Agency this week, with key members of the A30 Action Group, Arthur Ludgate and Veronica Stansfield.
The Regional Development Agency is due to take on powers from the South West Regional Assembly in the next few months, and the local MP aims to help campaigners persuade the Agency to prioritise dualling the A30 from Temple to Higher Carblake.
The group made a special DVD presentation, detailing the congestion and road safety problems on the only remaining single carriageway stretch of the A30 between Exeter and Truro.
Commenting afterwards, Mr Rogerson said:
“The A30 Action Group have again made a real impact.
“The RDA were extremely impressed with their presentation.
“We have already secured Ministerial support for keeping the A30 improvement plans, which are already drafted, up to date.
“Now it is up to the decision makers in the South West to move things on.”
