MP’s Parish Council tour

Dan Rogerson steps up a gear in his tour of Parish Councils this week, while MPs are away from Westminster.

The North Cornwall MP has been visiting parishes across his nearly 500 square mile constituency since the beginning of 2008 to hear their concerns and talk about plans for the new Cornwall Council.

In the next fortnight, Mr Rogerson will visit Boyton, St Minver Highland, Poundstock, St Breward, North Hill, Helland and Lewannick.

Last week, the local MP took questions from members of the Parish Council, and from local residents, at the Victory Hall in North Tamerton.

Commenting afterwards, Mr Rogerson said:

“At North Tamerton, we talked about everything from the ridiculous EU rules on bus routes in our area to the work my parliamentary committee on Environment, Food and Rural Affairs does in Westminster.

“It’s been very interesting indeed to hear so many well thought out points of view from parish councils all round the North Cornwall constituency.
