Bude Canal

Responding to news that the lock has broken at Bude Canal, North Cornwall's MP, Dan Rogerson said:

"Everything possible must be done to restore the lock and the canal.

"I know that the Environment Agency and the District Council are working hard to overcome this and ensure it has the minimum impact on the local community. 

"Once the immediate crisis is over, we will need to count the cost.  I hope that this event will not have a significant impact on plans to regenerate the canal."
