MP’s Christmas Card competition
North Cornwall’s MP, Dan Rogerson, has presented Jess Keatley, 9, from Indian Queen’s CP School, with a book token, and her school with a £50 cheque, sponsored by local businesses.
Miss Keatley won the prize by designing the leading entry in Mr Rogerson’s annual Christmas card competition. The design will be sent out on hundreds of the MP’s cards to parliamentarians and local organisations in the run-up to Christmas.
Dan Heard, 8, from Kilkhampton Junior and Infant School, and Laura Vinton, 10, from St Breock Primary School were runners up.
Commenting after the presentation, Mr Rogerson said:
“We had so many great designs come in from local primary school children that picking winners was a really tough choice. All the participants have had a certificate for taking part.
“Jess’s design did pip the others to the post though, and I was delighted to meet her, and her Mum, today to present the prize.
“Many thanks are due to Home Furnishings, Wadebridge, West End Motors, Bodmin, and Phoenix Print, Bodmin, who kindly sponsored the competition.
