Rogerson attends re-opening of Newquay Library

Earlier today Dan Rogerson, MP for North Cornwall attended the re-opening of Newquay Library after its closure for refurbishment.

The refurbishment was funded by a Government grant secured by fellow Liberal Democrat, County Councillor Eric Brooke. The refurbishment will allow the library to improve its services to the local community, both in depth and breadth.

Mr. Rogerson said:

"Libraries form a vital part of life-long learning – whether for those in formal education or those who simply have a passion for reading and improving their knowledge of the world.

"But the library of the 21st Century is much more than a place of books. Access to the worldwide web, along with DVDs and other forms of media form a vital part of the services that we expect them to provide, and with the re-opening of the library here in Newquay, the town has a state of the art facility that will serve the community for years to come."
